DoubleTwist, Inc. (2000-2002)
Doubletwist was an online genomics research service in Oakland, Ca. It aggregated and supplied genetic information and genomic databases from multiple sources and presented this information in a very advanced searchable database for international genomics researchers in academic and pharmaceutical institutions.
Jeremy was hired to do a redesign and development of the entire DoubleTwist website in 2000, and continued as the company's webmaster until the company sold its assets in 2002.
During this time, Jeremy was responsible for
- Creation of web pages, and maintenance of the DoubleTwist website
- Assisting in maintenance and upgrades to the online analysis tools available to registered users
- Design and development of multiple online and sales flash-based presentations explaining the functionality and uses of the various DoubleTwist software tools
- Design and Development of a promotional CD, of which 50,000 copies were made and distributed in the journal Bioinformatics
- Design and co-developer of a flash-based and XML- driven Genomic viewer
- UI design of a Java-based Genetic analysis tool
This project required Jeremy to use multiple technologies, including 3D-based genetic analysis tools and visualizers for the graphics used in many of his presentations.
